Being a mom and running a business isn’t easy, but that’s precisely why the High Five Grant for Moms, from The Mama Ladder®, exists. Since its launch in 2018, this unique grant has empowered mom entrepreneurs with non‑repayable cash to grow their dreams while balancing family life.

🗓 Timeline & How It Works

Based on the 2025 schedule (with application opening September 1–30, 2025), the process is:

• Apply (Sept 1–30) – Take 30–60 minutes to complete the application and share your “why” on social using #highfivegrant, tagging @theprofitabilityproject

• Judging (Oct 1–10) – A panel of seasoned entrepreneurs narrows down entries to 8 finalists.

• Public Voting (Oct 10–17) – Finalists’ business stories are shared, and the public votes (one vote per device).

• Winners Announced (Oct 20) – The grand prize winner is revealed, and all finalists receive grant funds

  
  

Grant amounts for 2025 are yet to be announced, but previous winners received up to $10,000, and every finalist earned some support.

Who’s Eligible?

To qualify (based on 2024 criteria):

1. Mom of human child(ren) of any age (including stepmoms, foster moms, or expecting moms).

2. Own ≥ 50% of a for‑profit business (product or service).

3. $10,000–$500,000 in revenue within the past 12 months.

4. Business based in the U.S. or Canada

   
   

Why It Matters

• Only a small fraction of venture funding goes to women-owned businesses, rarely to moms.

• This grant isn’t a loan or VC investment, it’s a non‑repayable boost to help moms scale without losing sleep over repayment structures.

• So far, $93K+ in cash, plus $43K in goods/services has been awarded—helping moms reach real growth milestones.
